I have all of the Cen Coast MLPA maps on my phone. I just downloaded the pdf files from the DFG site and optimized & reduced file size. Then put them on my microSD card and bam! I guess I could do the same with select pages from the DFG regs booklet. Hmmmm

The one I use most is the Surf Report from Oakley.
I can set all my favorite launches and see in seconds what the surf conditions are from canada to mexico. I just have the central coast launches and fishing pots set on mine. It includes water temps, wind waves and swells and wind direction along with forecasts.

Give it a try it was free.

an app that has the following would be awesome:

wx/swell info
GPS boundries for MLPA's
Tide
CA size and bag limits

+1

to add...and species photos (specially juvenile to distinguish)
local DFG office/Warden Numbers and addresses to contact just in case.
a place to save "favorites": like locale, typical fishes of the area, gps coordinates, some type of note system (like add a note on such day the weather was this, the swell was this, and at this locale you caught these fish)
To add fish caught a simple tap on the fish type caught will pop open a field with Length, aprox. weight, the the optional "mark location" (mark location would equal: GPS, Weather that day and time of day). (And if possible add an "Age" gauge, after imputing such information of fish, weight/length.)

-What would be totally of the hook would be an exportable excel file that will graph your "monthly" catches, so that you can keep track in graph form, that would allow you to analyze your fishing successes and failures, using all the info inputted. (is that stretching it?)

...one more a searchable Reg Book...

If the App had text alerts for when  hook-ups are posted in areas you like to fish, that would be cool.

Or from other NCKA'ers that you like/want to paddle with.
