I want to build a Outdoor Fish Cleaning Station.. does anyone have any plans or pics?

this would be non portable..

something i can hook a hose up to for water, i can drain into near by planter box... i want a spot for the fish scraps to go and have the water drain away form the station into the planter box..

any ideas?

I assume you want cost to be kept low? I would look for a wire shelving unit. Across the top you can add a sheet of plywood or the plastic decking material (like Trex). I made one and added a couple of nails to one end (sticking up) so I could pin the fish head down to make filleting simpler. As for a drain you can prob find a cheap under mount sink at a used building supply yard (or just keep your eye open for a house in your hood being remodeled) and ask the contractor if he has any lying around. The plumbing (drain and water could be hooked up to the sink).

Another option may be to get a laundry sink from home depot and add a removable ply or decking top. You could cut a drain plug into the top and add faucet (or make a mount to hang the hose directly)

Sounds like a fun project.

kinda like this but try and under mount the sink..

Hey Porky, this thread is a good start.  Scott's cleaning station is very well thought out and is a nice addition to his landscaped yard.

I made one with a SS sink I found at a kitchen remodel (the contractor just piled the fixtures in front of the house with a "free" sign). I had some scrap redwood lumber, so I basically built a little deck as the tabletop, with a cutout for the sink to drop into. The sink drain leads to some redwoods that really seemed to appreciate the extra water in the summertime.

it don't get any better than this!
~it was designed at an angle, to keep the water flowing forward and to the right side.
~see the gut and crap collector(milk carton with holes punched in, halfway up, to =keep it all from overflowing = (HiTec)  :smt003
~then take the milk carton and pour it into the plant that wants it the most.

Porky,

It think we picked up this sink from Lowes for about $50 + faucet. We use it for all kinds of things. For cleaning fish I just lay a cutting board across the front. The sprayer is pretty handy.

My sink is in the garage and drains to the washer drain.  I also just put a cutting board my dad build 30 years ago with a hole in the board across the sink.  I would build the next cutting board, or should add some 1/2" high rails to the edge of the board to keep the water from gong off the edge.
