Please take my husband (FisHunter) fishing
« on: December 09, 2009, 08:50:17 am »
Can someone convince him to go fishing. It's that time when he has to catch a sturgeon and he says I'm not feeling it. Every year at this time I have to hear this. I don't believe in WAF points and having to ask for my permission to do what he loves to do - go for it. But if I have to hear this for the rest of the year I'm going to go crazy! So please someone take him out every Friday & Saturday for the rest of the year.

When cloning people is an option. I vote Mrs FisHunter goes first. I have yet to hear my wife ask for someone to take me fishing or surfing.

Wow, you sound just like my girlfriend so there is more than one living saint in the world....

As far as feeling it, I caught a nice sturgeon in October, InsaneDuane caught one the other day, but other than that it seems a little early to expect much success, so Adam will probably feel it real soon, as soon as the people he was going to go with come back with one for everyone, except the person who didn't feel it that day. :smt013

None of which helps you with your current problem, Sorry about that,

Hope you guys have a Great Holiday Season.

Mrs. FishHunter,

Do you teach courses? Perhaps offer some kind of home training for the current girl or any of my future ex's? They all seem to be lacking in this area.

Dear Mrs FisHunter.

I have some experience in the ways of The Madness.

I can confidently predict that the best thing to do is for you to go sturgeon fishing. Just once. For a couple of hours. I can predict now with some certainty you will catch a keeper. Maybe two. There is no greater sealant for the complaining lips of a fisherman. He will not rest until he has a keeper.

Alternately, there is a small chance that this will actually finally break Mr FisHunter, and he will never try for Sturgeon again.

Either way, you won't have to hear him complaining about it every Friday and Saturday for the whole winter!

I think it's about time we add another forum within NCKA called "Dear Mrs. Fishunter..." (kinda like a Dear Abby :smt002)

Barbara, wanna be the official moderator ?  :smt003

All of my girlfriends were like that, then once it got serious, things changed.  Glad to see one that kept with the code, and maintains the frame of mind that people will be happy, doing things separate from time to time, and having their "own" time. I would take him, but I am going to have surgery soon, and will be out for a while.
I only keep what we will eat, and release the rest as a gift to the next angler.

Barbara:

You are the most understanding woman I have ever meet.  Adam is one hell of a lucky guy.  I'd be happy to go freeze by ass off fishing with the Real FISHunter.
