Huh, for a second I thought the title said Other Hobies!  :smt044

Of course, Kayaking, Fishing, and Kayak-Fishing  :smt005 But also all the little hobby type things that go with it! (making gear, tying leaders, learning knots, techniques, etc.)  All the homebrew stuff people come up with on this site is very inspiring!

Other Stuff I enjoy:

Camping - Love exploring California!   :camp
Driving - Just love to drive, what can I say!   :iroc:
Music/Concerts - Mostly Reggae these days.  :smoke
Motorcycles - Mines dead, but will ride again some day!  :smt004
Guns - Just getting into firearms and shooting, no hunting yet.  :smt072
Computers - Though, kayaking has eliminated most of my geekdom ...  :dark1:
Photography/Video Production - I'm not good or anything, I just like to share!  :director:
Parties - And not just Hookups either!  :smt005  Though they are usually a PARTY!!!  :beer2 :beer1 :party
Cooking - Boring by myself, but like to cook for parties, hookups, camping trips, etc.  :violent4:
Rafting - Well, only been 5 times, but it is a lot of fun!  :yak
Skiing - Used to try and ski 2-3 time per month during the winter, now I'd rather fish  :smt005
Traveling - Should be doing more of this, but I guess exploring bodies of water around CA will suffice for now  :smt003

Man, what an interesting group we have here...

I play bass in a band, and like most of us I enjoy messing around with a smoker and in the kitchen.

Also an avid reader, (anything and everything, but especially biographies).

Used to do a lot of shooting and have a modest collection of military surplus rifles.  Trying to master the art of shooting the 1911A1 is another lifelong persuit.

Also trying to learn standup bass.

Here's the band link:

Surfing, snowboarding, splitboarding, backpacking, muay thai, photography....pretty much anything active I'll try, usually get hooked due to my apparently OC nature

Jai boi Muay Thai is the shit so is MMA

Keo

Yeah, I got hooked on it and ended up staying in the Bay area when i should have moved (long story!).  Haven't even touched the jiujitsu mats since, but I've sworn I will get back on the mat when I move to Portland in a few weeks.

We've got an interesting, cool group of people on this site, cool to read about other interests

Al,

Some of us can just look at you and we know, we just know.

If you were a few years older, you would have books on Boolean Algebra.

You can try to hide your stripes,, but we still see the Zebra....

Some of my hobbies other than fishing include the following:

Hunting:I love to harvest my own eats.
Cooking: I have more fun cooking and watching everyone enjoying my meals than actually eating it.
Metal Detecting:I have A Big 5 special metal detector and love to play around with it. Never know.
Rock Hounding: Everywhere Brenda and I go we are looking for rocks. We have quite the collection.
Gardening: I love to grow stuff that I could harvest. Tomatoes, Calavasa, String Beans, just to name A few.
