Hello all,

You know how you wonder if your kids really "get" what you are trying to teach them and how well you are and have done as a parent.....if you are a parent you know what I mean. My daughter wrote this paper and turned it in to her Senior class english teacher....enjoy!

I wish you all the same kind of letter that I found on my computer keyboard this morning...see attached doc.

Kim
Love it!

Wow! Those special glimpses of "Yeah, they really did listen" are so rewarding and the best warm fuzzies any parent could receive. Thanks for sharing, Kim, and give that girl a hug from me (another mom who was teary-eyed after reading her essay/letter).

Very inspiring, Kim!

I just wish I knew what my 3 month old son dreams about...because whatever it is...its HILARIOUS! He's always laughing in his sleep.
What DO babies dream about anyways??

My guess is nipples  :smt005 .

Great letter and good job mom.  I recently started telecommuting and it allows me to walk my daughter (11) to school.  Good times.

Way to go, Kim!  You deserve to be very proud.  I hope my girl has those values when she's your girl's age.  It seems too easy these days for people to get caught up in the rat-race and forget what the truly important things in our lives are.  Love, hope, pride, family, community...  Thanks also to NCKA for providing a forum for so many like-minded souls to share and to help each other.

And way to go on making me cry at my desk~  :smt001

Oh ya....I forgot to reply to the first post. You've definitely got a level headed girl. I'm having my first child in April and if I have a girl I can only pray that she has as much sense as your daughter. You are obviously doing something right. Great job Mom!!

Probably their parents who insist on talking baby talk to them. Must admit I use to laugh during those times after cooing and gaghing.  :smt044
