Yes, by all means, do not attempt this if you do not feel that you would be unprepared for this type of kayaking trip. Know your abilities, know the weather report, and stay within safe parameters.

Another 30 miles or so and you'll hit Limekiln SP. Thats the next official/feasable put-in. Although it is rumored that other secret beaches are launchable... :smt002 But they're still pretty far south of Molera. Closest put-in to the north is Garrapata.

There are beaches where others paddling the coast have camped, legally or not who is going to stop you when you are at the base of a 1,000 foot cliff.  Just make sure you are out of the tide zone.  I recall Steph Dutton and at least one other who I have read about.

I could see launching at julie pfieffer burns or whatever it is pretty easily.

the one across 1 from ventana.

I have surfed there.

If you want to hit Big Sur, Let me know I have been wanting to get back down there lately and mostly just need a partner.  I live close and am always willing but usually only available on the weekends.
