Would anyone be interested in doing yak-in camping on Tahoe the second weekend of October?

It's official.  I called the park office.  Personnel advised all Tahoe campgrounds, including DL Bliss, will be closed after september.  Maybe next year...

That might be fun, I been wanting to tap in/to some of Mooch's knowledge! That may be a good op. I, actually am up here now (and its a butt cold 34 deg)and I was looking for tips as to where and what to fish, I only know how to shore fish for brownies and rainbows, I guess its the same..? troll slow w worms and powerbait, or kastmaster.I have never yaked Tahoe. I have caught some Mac's in about 250 ft of water, on a guide boat once, but dont like to eat them, but I do have a ghetto downrigger.. I plan to be here all week, I only had room to bring my Manta Ray and was looking for a good deal on a rental for a friend, any tips there?, Launch ideas? I am @ Stagecoach on the top, ohh and can you make me lunch too? haha, keep it hatch side up..Jeff :smt003

There's a group camp at D.L. Bliss that's very close to the beach that would make a great base camp for a NCKA weekend, especially since it's reservable!  As you said, maybe next year...

You could always opt for Loon Lake to paddle and camp.
