darn, CA's aging piers are taking a beating

Holy Crap. This isn't fun at all. Hopefully they can put the wharfs back together in the near future. Hopefully Capitola Boat & Bait doesn't lose the crane or the shop.

This is really a bummer - I loved the little restaurant at the end of the pier.  The little boats were fun to rent too, had some good times there the last couple summers.  Hopefully they can make repairs, but that pier is really old.

Good video but the robot narration is ridiculously bad (“drive” as in “street” being rendered as “doctor” is just the most obvious example).

I stopped by West Cliff Doctor this morning just after high tide and it was surging. Hard to capture the feeling of the power of the waves in video.

Anyways, hope they get the wharf(s) repaired soon…

Crazy! The Santa Cruz boardwalk wasn’t featuring so I’d assume it’s ok?
The far end extension of the Pacifica pier has been damaged a few years back and was never fixed
