What's a C3????

just the standard 3 bearing abu garcia ambassadeur. it's the C3 model.
they make a c4 and c5 too, with 4 and 5 bearings respectively.
the record has 6 bearings.

I used it again at Tomales for casting swimbaits on one rod and bouncing butts on the other.  Gotta say I love it more each time I use it.

If you still have 'em you could resurrect a few I'm sure by combining parts.

25 lbs of smooth stopping power in such a small reel seems pretty incredible.  Can't wait until one you gets to test it out on something real.  Better yet, it'll be interesting to see how it fares on Sean's next annual Baja trip.

Glenn at Fishermans Warehouse down in San Jose had (still has?) a picture of a pelagic that was taken on one of the "freshwater" Revos. I can't remember what species, but am thinking it was a Striped Marlin? Maybe a good sized Dorado? This was 4-5 months ago, well before the introduction of the Revo Inshore. Add more drag and 30 more yards of line, what's not to love?

Regards,
Scott

What a difference a few trips made,

I looked over many reviews, most talked about having minor backlash problems, but with some time,

really got in tune with the real. I had the same problems,  I teamed it up with  a 1/4 oz Okuma worm rod,

felt great, but my cast were just, uncoordinated, don't know how to explain it. Adjusted it, worked well

but not overall that impressed,  till today.

 "Let Go Luke"

I couldn't believe the cast I was making today on the Sacramento River,

I guess I just had to get used to it, but now I'm flinging stuff further than ever, with no

problems.  Can't wait to give the drag a Hard test..

  Great Reel!!!! ........... Danglin

Gonna have to put this on my Christmas list too!  With a price tag of approximately$200, it will answer the ultimate question of whether I've been naughty or nice this year.
