so clamming in Bodega would be good Saturday afternoon, right? i have not done that yet - but would like to give it a go

Not really a good time because it's late and dark during the low.

Less Crowds to contend with.  Winter Clamming in WA was killer for this reason.

Less Crowds to contend with.  Winter Clamming in WA was killer for this reason.
Here it's not legal to clam after sunset. Winter is enough to draw less crowds  :smt044

 I normally paddle out to Lawson from Nick's cove and it's no fun coming back in the dark.

what about the flats right behind Cove Campground in Doran?

Guess that's available there but Lawson has bigger ones I'm after  :smt003

It's two different experiences between the two spots.
