Yes, the pre-2015 daggerboard will fit in the Adventure/Revo 16. I've got a couple spare daggerboards in case you ever want to borrow one to test it out. Even if you are not sailing, it seems to me that it does act as a slight stabilizer, in the sense of dampening side-to-side rocking somewhat. And for sailing, I'd say it's essential, as it greatly reduces sideways slippage...
