Abalone Poachers Busted

Guys,
 You should catch the dialogue over on the spearboard forum about this.....my goodness.
 Its gone off the deep end and turned racial.
Such a shame....as scumbags come in all nationalities, shades and persuasions.

that is wrong and it should have never turned into a race issue.

i remember when i worked at a dive shop about 4 years ago a guy came in and was talking a lot about abalone and how many people are getting caught. he said he himself was part of a business which sold abalone for a lot of money until they got caught. he told me about how the place he had with friends was like an abalone meat factory popping buckets of them at a time.

he was not Asian.

in a case like this race should never be an issue as its an individual decision made by free thinking people who chose to dabble in something unlawful and they shall pay the price.

It's scary to think that people like this still exist 

tis some pretty intense posting but lets not forget that a lot of vietnamese also died serving as spies and translators on behalf of the usa for them and their families. a lot of them were granted amnesty in the usa in exchange for helping the usa in the war.

i cant help but feel compassion for the families who are also struggling here after having moved.

some choose to go a bad direction.

in the end were all after the same thing in life, just from different places.

It it only a matter of time before someone gets caught poaching in a remote area and gets lynched.  Folks are very dissatisfied with the penalties for poaching abalone and that encourages vigilante behavior.
