Crabbing Around Mendocino ?

 
I'm asking for any advice for crabbing from a kayak in and around Mendocino.
Closed areas I should be aware of, looking at putting in at big river and paddling out in the bay, Van Damme as well. Looking for the sandy bottoms. But I'm open to any advice or experience in locations etc.. in that area.
