I did it.

Works awesome. I can finally stow my Hobie Trax-2 cart in my Revo 16 front hatch if I want to.

Summary : get two aluminum tubes, some plastic tubing to align the bottom tube, and a leash to hold it all together (though it holds itself pretty good). Use tubing cutter and/or Dremel to cut the metal.

Tips: measure accurately and take into account imperfections in tubing dimensions. A tubing cutter works great for cutting the shorter connector as it’s accurate and doesn’t remove material (hence doesn’t change the dimensions of the frame).

Haha! Don’t worry though, I’ll wait until you get back from the trek to your car before I launch

That's pretty slick.
I have always felt like the cart and kayak are really a single tool.
