The sales guy didn't reply to my last email to discuss my situation with a manager.  So I tried calling their phone, it is never answered and after 15 mins drops you to a voicemail and says you will receive a call back in 1-2 days.  So I left a vm, and sent an request for assistance and a call back from a manager via their web form on their site.  Then Looked up all the people that work at Dakota Lithium on LinkedIn and CC'ed all of them on my email thread with sales asking for the same.  That should spark some sort of response, or my next move is increase my blast radius even more.

That worked...  I got a call back just now, with a bunch of excuses but a promise now of getting a 20% off my order refunded and then prioritized shipment when the battery does arrive.

That worked...  I got a call back just now, with a bunch of excuses but a promise now of getting a 20% off my order refunded and then prioritized shipment when the battery does arrive. 

Batteries right now are really hard to source with supply shortages everywhere.  Selling batteries when you don't have them right now is really super shady.  I was looking for a tesla battery for my house, was quoted 16 months.  So I overpaid for something else after I saw it with my own eyes.

Yeah, if they had just been pfront and communicated with me from the start, I wouldn't be upset at all, and understand supply chain issues are affecting a lot of distributors.  But they have to be better at knowing when they have something in stock, or not.  Because they said they had it one day, and not the next.  They said they will find out within an hour and call me back on an eta for shipment which would please me now.  But if they had just said from the start, long lead time, I would have weight my options with other products before deciding.

Yeah, if they had just been up front and communicated with me from the start, ...

I wouldn’t take it personally, it’s not you. There is a whole different kind of people represented by the millennial clan. They don’t understand or know common courtesy, communication skills, basic ‘good business’ practices. But put one in front of a cellphone … I had no idea thumbs could type that fast.

What a coincident. Let's hope they're not just sending you grade B cells sitting in the back of the warehouse. I would put a full test on that bad boy since they cost an arm and a leg.
