... I can test it out with the mast from my "real" AI, and I'm hoping to do so soon.

Do you need to register your AI with the DMV if you use it for ‘sailing’ or is it one of those thing where you are ‘supposed to’ but nobody does ... or maybe you don't need to register it?  :smt102

Yes, in CA you are supposed to register any sailboat over 8' long:

https://www.dmv.ca.gov/portal/vehicle-registration/new-registration/register-your-boat-vessel/

I've never registered my AI (which is 16' long, btw), and I'm not nobody...

I actually rode in one of those in a parade back in 1974. Threw Weiner whistles to the crowd. Thanks for the flashback!

We saw the wienermobile in San Jose last year. I also saw it once on the east coast. I wonder if anybody has made a wienerkayakmobile...

You may have seen 2 different vehicles. I forget if there are 4 wienermobiles, or 6 of them, either way, there’s more than just the one. No idea if they have territories or how it works. Would be fun to see all of them together in one location, together, like lined up going through a McDonalds dive-thru.

Missed the whistle comment here last time and that sounded too funny to not look up.   :smt044

If that thing has a hitch to tow a trailer it would be the funniest thing I've seen at the launch ramp ever.  :smt005
