Hey Al,

I’ve also tried a few pads off Amazon that are similar to the purple.
There was a green one and a blue one, both around $30.
They were nice compared to the foam pads I had been using in my Jeep and at the office.
Then I tried a co-worker’s Purple Ultimate Cushion and was insanely comfortable. I’ve had mine for about two months it’s nearly eliminated all the pain I get from working long hours in a government issued office chair, it’s just magic. No more Tylenol or Alive just to get to sleep.
Down side is it’s the most expensive and it only has one side handle so leashing it to a pad eye might be goofy.
If you’re putting in long hours and dead sore afterwards you gotta try this thing. If you’re not in love with it after a few weeks, returns are free within 30 days of delivery.

I loved it so much I decided to try their Double Seat Cushion in my Jeep, real butt saver when off-road and on the messed up streets of Sacramento. I don’t think that one would work very well on a hard surface as it’s the softest of their pads. The Amazon gel pads are on my patio chairs now and the foam pads from Costco got returned.

Purple says the Royal Cushion is meant for hard surfaces like the deck of your Revo. Though it’s smaller than the Ultimate. The Ultimate really is big guy heaven.

All three are 10% off right now and they give an extra 10% first responder discount on top of sales so lots of people in the agency have them. They never asked me to provide them with an ID, just asked what I do in the chat box with the sales rep.

Unless you just need the color purple for some reason (no judgement! :smt003 ), there is pretty much the same thing in blue for $14 less - $25.99. Also come in green, black …

A resurrection!  I'm curious about how you like the seat pad after a few months use.  Still liking it?

Otis hasn't signed in since he was overruled on lawyer advice.

I can say the one I've been using has literally changed my life on the kayak.  When I didn't have the cushion I was miserable by about the 4th hour into any fishing trip and was hunched over after getting off the water and had sciatic pain.  With the one I got it's all gravy, I was able to troll for 7+ hours last weekend with no pain at all in my arse, legs, or back.

Still, the more expensive Purple brand is tempting...if it's a bit firmer it might be even cushier.

Been using the baseball stadium seat cushion from Walmart ($10) but the "purple" sounds great and approved by Al so I will give it a try.   Thanks everyone for all the tips.

On Al’s report and recommendation, I got one, too. I use it on my truck seat on the way to fishing and in the kayak.

HUGE improvement! No more numb butt and aching back after hours in the saddle.

The only issue I had was the corners didn’t fit real well in the kayak seat where the bottom meets the back. I trimmed it (to match kayak seat radius) with scissors and now it fits better. I ended up getting one for my wife, she uses it on her office chair and loves it.
