What’s up NCKA…

My son and I are just getting started kayak fishing  but are excited to be apart of the group. We are looking forward to meeting others and learning the ins and outs and anything folks are willing to share. Native to NorCal, I have fished freshwater, rivers and the bays but now trying a new approach via the kayak and spending as much quality time with my son as possible. Together we have been watching many of you on you tube and hope to gain more technical knowledge and understanding where and when to fish. We are fishing a used Jackson Big Tuna tandem that I have outfitted to get us started but welcome any suggestions on equipment, launch locations and grounds. This year we hope to land more halibut and get on some salmon, ling and possibly crab.

Friday we are going to chase the early butts at oyster point. We haven’t tried to launch or fish  there before but are excited to give it a shot.
