Scotty 429 extender?

Anybody used one?  Strength?   Thinking for trolling.as well as just a rod holder.

I have two of them.  The standard length and the Mini.  I believe the model of the extension arm by itself is 459.  I had several of the two end pieces already.  They work great trolling with two rods when criss-crossing over the deck of your yak. Keeps the rods on different levels from interfering with each other.  The stability is only as good as your mounting bracket.
