If you look at the map on the website it has drinking water labeled with a big "W", no water at our spot.

I'll try and link the map.

Hopefully there's a difference between potable water and drinking water. :smt003

I was trying to figure out the best way to secure my grill to my kayak. I tried cinch straps but didn't have any that were small enough to clip to anything on my Tarpon13T. Then I figured I'd just use my kayak straps through the scupper holes (which I'm still going to do for other stuff I'm bringing), but that meant putting my grill where it took up a ton of real estate. I found my solution at Sportsman's Warehouse. These rope locks. I didn't see this type so I picked up some with small carabiners on them, which actually worked out better.

Now I can strap my grill down over the back tankwell, as far back and out of the way as possible. Plus I can still stuff a few things under it and will have plenty of room between my seat and the grill for storage.

BTW - I originally went to SW for this compression pillow. Which is on sale and actually pretty comfortable and packs down pretty small.

Called, and no there is no water at the site.  I asked if they have a grill, and they will call me back on that after checking with the rangers.  I can bring my water purifier if you want to drink some EBP water  :smt044

Did Hetch Hetchy have water?

Not too worried about drinking water, just water for rinsing things off, etc.

I'll fill up at home just to be safe, but that's a lot of extra space and weight.

Apparently there is still a toxic algae bloom happening so the recommendation is to even wash the fish in non lake water before preparing. But appears swimming is OK....strange.

Guess trolling laps between the car and the site may be in order to schlep the water. Most the trout are probably near the launch ramp so that's no so bad.

My Tarpon 13T is literally all deck space. So if the weather is decent I won't mind making a trip back to the dock for firewood, water, etc.

I can bring a 5gallon jug and fill it somewhere and schlepp that to the camp for everyone to use.  May need to refill it once, but not a big deal.

Going to order a cheap pump for the water jug and maybe bring two of them.  :smt003

Right on. I have a camp shower that's good for rinsing things off. It holds two or three gallons. I'll also bring another 3 gallon filled container.

I have a couple 5 gallon jugs with spigots I can bring as well. Usually have one for drinking water and one for washing.

I almost bought this yesterday at Sportsman's Warehouse but I can't think of any other time that I'd use it. Twenty five bucks.
