Just back from a 3 day trip to Pyramid Lake, NV, first time chasing Lahontan Cutthroat trout.  Bluebird skies, glassy conditions made it tough on the ladder guys but the Hobie got it done trolling.  I fished Thursday afternoon through early Sunday morning and boated 17 Lahontans, the largest just over 10 pounds.  Most of my fish came on U-20 flatfish in a frog/gold pattern, off the downrigger at 25’.  I averaged about a fish per hour of effort which may not be red hot, but with the beauty of the high desert, snow capped peaks all around and big fish it was well worth the drive.  Get some!

Great report. My favorite fishery around NorCal! Truly magical place.

One of those monsters per hour is pretty great!

You did very well. I tried for the first time a couple week ago and caught a couple under 24". I was pretty happy with that. I didn't have any frog pattern spoons or any flatfish. I was considering going up this weekend but it looks to be freezing cold, so may hold off for a warmer weekend.
