Humminbird (and I suppose Johnson Outdoors who they belong to) get a 10/10 for customer service from me.

Long story short a warranty issue was quickly fixed, I was basically only out shipping time to Alabama and back. Great communication and service from them.

I purchased a new Helix 7 from Scheels as a birthday present to myself. When it arrived I hooked it up to a battery and tested it out on my workbench and I thought I checked to make sure everything worked well. All seemed well so I began my install.

-Fully installed on 2/6 and I discover that the zoom in and out buttons on the mapping feature don’t work. So Sunday 2/6 I shoot them an email.

-Monday 2/7. A few quick emails back and forth to make sure it’s actually the unit and not operator error and they send me a return shipping label for the factory. It’s in UPS’s hand at the end of the day.

-Friday 2/11 UPS delivers to Humminbird.

-Friday 2/18 I have a working unit waiting for me on my doorstep when I get home.

I don’t have any thoughts on the product yet, but the customer service experience was great!

I also had great experience with their customer service. And also with Helix 7. In my case, it may not even be their fault.. but the housing of connector from the transducer to the unit got deformed. Maybe it was under pressure while strapping the kayak; hard to say. They sent me a new transducer, free of charge. Didn’t even ask to return the old one.
