Squid- 3 weeks in the trunk of your wife's new BMW

My buddy Monte and I used to fish and crab from Tides Wharf. It was dope. The bar is right there and they would bring clam strips and mudslides out to us.

One day Monte went there to do some crabbing during the day. We never got too many dungees there, but there were almost always as many red and rock crabs as you wanted. He proceeded to enjoy the good crabbing and good mudslides all afternoon. On his way home, with near limits of red and rock crabs in a cardboard box in his trunk, he gets a flat tire. While changing out his flat tire a nice CHP officer stops to offer help.

Long story short - nice CHP officer smells alcohol on Monte's breath, Monte blows just over legal limit, and Monte gets a DUI. In the meantime Monte's car with a trunk full of red and rock crabs gets impounded. It's Friday afternoon and Monday is a holiday.

A few years ago I went crabbing and brought home a handful of Dungies, a few rock crab and a Huge Red crab. This is when I kept them in the hatch, and when I unloaded the big red was nowhere to be found, anywhere!  A week later  I realized he crawled to the back of the yak and was “developing “

I now use a crab bag to store em!!
