Nice!

My guess is that the poor fish is responding to Eddie's telepathic fish-calling powers, but it forgot to take a left turn at Albuquerque (or was it the Golden Gate Bridge?)...

The video is taken at Shoreline Lake in Mt View - a  manmade saltwater lake. I know nothing about the lake, no idea how that would into it.

Mooch told me story about them once long ago where he was SUPing there for fun, and talking to some ladies that were swimmers there said they had halibut bite at the rings on their fingers! :smt044

There’s a waterway between the lake and slough on the northwest end of the lake.  Could have come in as a smaller fish and become landlocked.  Who knows.

I’ve been on this lake a couple of times. But I didn’t know the water was salty. Maybe he’s self quarantining for COVID

Great video and even better unique situation. Perhaps some little kid will catch it using a Barbie Zebco rod and real. 🤣

That could definitely be the reason why this halibut (possible more?) is even in there.

I just find it interesting halibut even make it back this far in the bay. Maybe might start trolling for them in Alviso lol

I've been working around the corner there lately.  Maybe try a couple casts some day.

Had no idea halibut even existed that far south in the bay. Huh.
