I am bringing my 15 foot aluminum kayak as well.  :smt005  ( boat )

I have never really seen any reports for halibut or Petra sole from Albion but plan on giving it a shot in between kayaking.

Rob advised me that as long as i have no rockfish in the boat there are no depth restrictions for these targeted species. I really have no plans running deeper than 200 ft.

I have caught both CA halibut and sole just up the road, so if you find some sand you should be able to find them. Looking at the chart due west of the entrance bouy might be an area to look.

Thanks for the reply.

I will be trying my luck and refreshing my rigs and flatfish Id's up here ( monterey bay ) as a warm up to the Albion experience.

On a different note. Did anyone ever find out who was in the Gorilla suit at shulander a few yrs back? That was hilarious that they didn't want to reveal themselves.  :smt005 :smt005

I was at Albion yesterday - the field on the left as you come down the hill had campers and RV’s, I didn’t see a playground in it.

The field you're referring to is the Section D camp sites. The playground (volleyball and basketball courts) that replaced the overflow section is on the right, next to the B section and across from the A section of full-hookup RVs.

Thank you for the clarification, Howard, I was mistaken. I did see a play structure in the area you’ve described.

Can't wait. Will be staying up in Fort Bragg at the Holiday Inn campsite and will be driving down that morning.
