Sweet deal!  I'm not super familiar with the AI generations, does this one use a pin to connect the aka's, or the slide in type?

Slide in.  The only reason I'm selling this is the fact that I have severe arthritis in my hips and don't enjoy it anymore.  If anyone knows a fellow vet in need or another worthy cause I'll really sweeten the deal.

Great deal! If I didn’t have 2 (almost) already, I’d take it…

If you use it without the sail (pedaling only), how much water do you get in the hull each outing?  I really want this to replace my old one, but I am concerned as the 2011 I had (and other 2011s that I know) got the dreaded drivewell cracking/leaks and has made me scared of the 2011 and older years.

Had the drivewell crack on my 2007 OB, but thought that was all fixed by 2008?

However I should say that without sailing, and with no cracks, the only water you might have inisde would come in through the rudder lines.  If your sailing, then the front hatch can be an issue if punching through waves.  Otherwise, talking like no more than a cup of water usually in my AI.

On the 1st gen AIs, the front hatch is notorious for leaking on rougher days.  The other two hatches and rudder lines can leak some water as well, but it shouldn't be a substantial amount.  With my 2011, I noticed a progressively increasing amount of water in the hull over the course of a couple years.  It started out as  the typical half gallon.  When had to pump out over 5 gallons, I knew there was a bigger issue, and eventually found multiple cracks in the drive-well/click-and-go area. I know of at least 2 other 2011s that had the same issue.

I haven't noticed much water in the hull. I couple times in beach launches and heavy sailing but nothing substantial.  I had it on Elkhorn slough just peddling last month and it was pretty dry.

From experience, AI are used way less than regular kayaks. Meaning this is dirt cheap compare to buying a new regular kayak without the bell n whistles of a AI. or even a used one. Jump on it Jon. 😁
