Fishing during King Tides

With the King Tides coming this weekend, I was curious to hear other's experiences and thoughts on the pros and cons of fishing during these unique conditions. Have you noticed these huge tide swings and increased currents helping or hurting the fishing? I have a window to fish this weekend but remember the difficult conditions and slow fishing during last year's Kings.
