I have used the Cobra triple and it is a great 2 person fishing kayak, but a real bear to handle. It weighs a ton. You need 2 able bodied people to load and unload it. It paddle pretty well though. When I go with my dad I do most of the paddling without a big problem.

This time last year I bought my first yak for fishing with my kids. I got a Wilderness Systems Tarpon 130T. It has served us well. My 13 yr old and I have no trouble loading it on our van. I've outfitted it with rod holders and a fishfinder.

It's the only yak we've owned, so I can't really compare it to other tandems. But it is very stable, even with me and two squirming kids fishing at the same time. I wish it had better hatch to access storage, but with seating for three in a 13' yak, you can't have everything.

Would I buy it again? Yup....unless I could talk the boss into letting us get two Hobie Mirage drives. :smt002

I found that 1 big able bodied guy and a cart works ok as well.   :smt001  The top of my car may not agree.

I have an OK malibu 2.  With 2 adults its cramped.  With my 8 y.o daughter riding the bow its fine for freshwater.  A tripple is probably best suited for 2 adults fishing the salt.
..........agarcia is just an ex-kayaker
