Sharktober came early this year

Photos per Specialized helicopters who spotted ~30-40 GWS near the cement ship today. Just in time for the first of the month. My SS is backordered until who knows when, so looks like I'll be following nowhereman around for a while (hailing nowhereman, do you copy  )

I'd planned to test it in remote-battery mode again tomorrow but still need to do a little work on the wiring, so that won't happen until Monday, at the earliest.

I went with a lime green kayak to look un-food like.  Maybe this is the color we should be painting on the bottom of our kayaks?

There's no fish by the cement ship, cause they ate them all   

But honestly, they have been there for like 4-5 years now at this point, seen at least 14+ at one time, they are giving helicopter rides out to see them.  I've only ever caught bat rays there anyway

I’m kinda scared of the sharks when I’m home reading all the sighting reports. But never when I’m on the water (and I don’t have a shark shield). I think when I’m on the water I just don’t have time to think about it… maybe kayaking is a really peaceful sport

There’s a thread about this but Mako Spearguns (dive shop on the east coast) still has them in stock. Ordered mine two weeks ago and got it in 2 days. Waited 4 months for my original order from ocean guardian before getting fed up and cancelling.

A Good Friend of mine was works for TowUs here in Santa Cruz. Last week while looking for the kid that got swept out to sea, he came across 15' white shark up by 3 mile.
