Ill be in the water at 7am. New to all of this. Figured this to be a good place to start.
Taking out my 2021 Outback for the second time.

Some crazy currents can happen there. And strong winds after noon. Not bad at slack tide.

I love Ft. baker. It is tricky. Wouldn’t suggest going under  the GG bridge or around Yellow bluff unless you have a buddy. And even if you have a buddy, be skeptical. I’d be back at the launch by noon. The currents and the wind will be close to unmanageable by then. See the current chart from BASK and Windy below.

Current/tides seems ok between 7am and 12pm. 

Be careful right under the north tower as the currents are fast and swirl under the bridge, if you’re going that direction with the outgoing tide. 

Around yellow bluff, it’s no too terrible but you’ll fight a big incoming tide from 10am trying to get back to the launch.  If it gets windy, then going thru yellow bluff is very choppy and bumpy.
