Maybe a dumb question, but my friend had a boat with rod holders that you just placed the handle of the rod into a V shaped gripping holder that would swivel around and allow forward and backward movement which was nice when bait fishing and bumpy conditions.... What is that holder called, and has anyone seen one on a kayak?

I’m not sure if you live around Sacramento but there a bait shop called Freeport market and they sell some really nice rod balancers! I picked up a pair of them.

How recent did you pick those up?  I was there about 3 months ago and they were out with no idea if they would getting more in the future.  Thanks.

About 6-7 months ago. I didn’t realize they were out of them which sucks because I was going to pick up 2 for my brother. Hopefully they will get more.
