get rid of that and in a year get ur boy an EV.  The secondary market for ev's is baaad, and there's tons of fiat 500e's for some fraction of new MSRP.

good luck on the sale, blue.  its a nice subie

Frankly my take on the used car market is it is nuts w prices going way over blue book

It’s completely outrageous right now.  One of my staff bought a new vehicle at the beginning of the pandemic and it’s actually gone up in value because supply chain issues and parts shortages have been limiting production levels.  I checked used prices on my 2004 model truck and they’re selling for right around the same price I bought it for (used in 2006), sometimes more.  With trucks, the replacement costs are ridiculous (right around $85k to replace mine with a new model) so the used market ballooned.  My 89 Toyota pickup all over the map from $6-15k now.  Boats too, little 16’ whalers all beat to hell with non-working 80’s era 2strokes going for +$10k.

I’d really hold onto that thing if he’s gonna start driving next year.

I’m so in the mood to keep this car but I know if I do I’ll have to get a TI to go on top of it

That car has a ton of miles left in it.

Btw anyone with a car they want to sell now is a good time to do it

I really wanted to keep this car so I did everything in my power to dissuade people from buying it, told them everything that could go wrong with an old car, pointed out all of its imperfections

And still it sold for roughly twice blue book and I’m sure I could’ve got more

My neighbor recently sold his old dually to a "poor kid who just needed a dependable truck as he went off to lineman school."  Gave him a really good deal.  He just saw it on craigslist for almost twice what he gave it to the kid for... :smt005
