Thanks, everyone.  :smt006

I spent an enjoyable morning cleaning the grime out of all the nooks and crannies. It felt a little bit like rescuing a neglected animal: the guy I bought it from didn’t even know how to secure the hatch straps, and had left it outside for several years. When we opened it up to look inside the fish hatch he discovered a wet change of clothes that had been left in there for a year.

I have learned how the pedals work, re-tied all the bungees, and adjusted the rudder. The kayak has a lot of scuffs, scratches, and gouges in the gelcoat, but (fingers crossed) I haven’t found anything that would impact safety or functionality. I think this is a testament to how durable and well-designed these kayaks are.

I promise I will sell it if I don’t use it regularly.

I am excited about being able to launch through the surf with a 7 foot rod fully assembled and stowed inside the hull. I am going to try it without a seat to start with, but no idea how long that will last.

I sat on the ad for a good 22 hours before deciding to post it here. I've been trimming my fleet and couldn't take on a new boat  :smt044

Congrats and she's starting to show her beautiful form Krishna!

That is looking awesome! Good thing about already having scratches, is that you'll be less worried about scratching yourself. I haven't put a whole bunch of time on my boat yet, but I've found it to be relatively comfortable without a seat. And that is with a jacked up back
A jerk at one end of the line waiting for a jerk at the other end.

Does it have one of those awesome livewells? Hard to tell what’s going on from the pictures given I’ve never seen one in person…

This is an older one so it does not have the cool livewell or the built-in transducer mount.

Awesome! Great score on picking up that kayak. I keep threatening to go stealth, they are such a nice kayak.
