The hassle of getting these things assembled and registered (two trips to DMV) is worth $1k alone. Screaming deal here!!

How stable are these when you put them up on the rear stand?

Would you feel comfortable leaving them like that in a parking spot behind a car?

I have one of these and I love it. However, I don't think it would be steady enough to leave standing up in a parking lot. I have thought about making some sort of a brace to the roof rack on my car to keep it in place. However, that seems like too much work so when I don't have a proper parking space for a trailer I just take it off and put it in a second spot. I put a lock through the wheels and on the hitch so it is more likely to be there when I return.

Why 2 trips? I put together a Trailex trailer. It's been a while, but I only recall going to the DMV once.
There's always money in the banana stand.

Thanks for the info, I was thinking about that too but was worried that might go against some parking lot rules and get towed.   Some cities have specific rules but many do not.  I have seen some people doing it recently.

Yeah it's a good idea to check the rules. Where I have to pay I pay for 2 spots.

got make and model on the lock for the wheels ?  I have a new to me Malone trailer  Thanks Spiffy / Vic

I'm just using a heavy duty bicycle cable lock that I run through the wheel and around the frame. I figure when I park it attached to my car I just have the hitch padlock so that plus the cable lock is good enough. They make fancy boot-type wheel locks, but that seems like overkill to me.
