Paradise Cay Report 8/16 nada and launch ramp blocked!!!

Fished Paradise Cay from the Tiburon Yacht Club bldg to Chauncy Point and back from 11 am - 3:15 pm yesterday.  No fish, no hits.  What a disappointment!  Was trolling Wonder Bread J-plug then switched to a new(?) anchovy swimbait that I bought at Oakland Pro Shop. 
One boat had one halibut, two others nothing.  Water temp. 64-66, high tide at 3:20 pm.

Note:  The launch ramp was blocked in the water by a new dock built about 4-6 feet (at lowtide) from the shore and parallel to it.  I had to carry the kayak through a locked gate (left open for the workers putting in the new dock).  Then I had to paddle in <2' of water (4' wide) and under an overhanging  extension cord to get out.  Coming in at high tide I had to carry my kayak up over the rip-rap.  A kayaker from BASK told me he thought they were moving the launch ramp to a new public launch about 200 yds away, but that was only rumor.  It's a big loss if this ramp is closed.  it's free and easy and fishing has been almost always productive for me.

Also, I have not posted with photos except once or twice.  I suspect many readers doubt glowing reports without photo evidence, although no one has ever criticized or questioned my reports.  My reports are always 100% honest, but for silent naysayers (if they exist on this site) I purchased a dry bag for my camera after fishing yesterday.  I hope to get beyond the technical aspects of the computer and the website to easily post.  (Then you will see Piscolabis in action!!! . . . but don't hold your breath, there are a lot complex facets to technology seemingly barely attainable by me.  I have nearly reached the overload point when it comes to disciphering operation manuals.)

bummer on the ramp closure -- i knew low tide blocked it in...we'll  see if it goes away.

Mooch always harrasses about pics!  I finally went out and bought a waterproof camera jsut to stop his "post pics posts"! Now if i can just remember to bring the dang thing....
