Knowing that even Sean gets skunked and dumps sometimes makes me feel much better about things. :smt005  Way to get out there.  A+ for effort.

Abking, if you didn't have photo proof, it would have been hard to believe Sean dumped the landing on his battleship.  I was beginning to think he was super-human.  I've never seen or heard of him ever scrubbing before.   :smt003

Damn!  I should've worked the blackmail angle before I posted the pics!   :smt003

Sean:  I hope I didn't abuse my way to your shit-list!   :smt001

I am always stoked to get a call from NCKA family from out of town.  Going in I did know that the fish were way the hell out there, but, hey, who am I to put a damper on a man-plan like paddling out of Humboldt Bay?!   :smt005  I am really re-ignited right now for getting more salmon.  I've put out some feelers down at the Cove hoping for a call if the fish come in to paddling range, and I'll be sounding an alarm here if the fish come anywhere near the jetties or Trinidad.  Keep your traveling gear ready at hand!  SOMEONE should land a 30+ on a yak before this Summer is over.  Will it be you?...

Hey brother Sean... our AOTY pursuit is really starting to get costly in time, gas money, WAF, and humility.... isn't it?

Eric, Dan, Sean, awesome effort and good report.

Sean, my daughter's cell went for swim one day so I immediately took it apart to expose the boards, blew it out with canned air and assembled it each day to see if I could save some $$$.  After the third day it decided to come back to life and started working again so don't give up on it yet.

I dropped a non-waterproof camera in a river in Colorado a few years ago. I took out the batteries and left it out to dry. After a day, it started up but didn't work. After a few more days, it came back to life and worked perfectly. It lasted another year before it died again and I had to repair it. For a salt water dip, I think you would have to rinse it in fresh water before drying it out.

I recently got a cell phone dry bag. You can open and close the phone while it's still in the bag. It takes a little practice to get the phone into the bag, but after that you don't have to worry about it.
