Or get a Tesla

A lot of my coworkers drive 2-3 hours each way to work, a lot are going electric. One of them told me the other night he dozed off and had a 20 minute nap
Don't get a model 3 or y if you're carrying your kayaks as the roof rack will be held on by the glass roof. Opt for the X or S. Autopilot is great but it ask for you to hold on to the wheel every 30 seconds. You can bypass it by putting tying or attaching a heavy object to the wheel but it's dangerous because you might get to a sharp turn and the autopilot might disengage.

Flaming Hot Cheetos!! Or some other really spicy snacks/food should help in staying awake while driving.

Found this gem of a topic and had to revive it  :smt044

I recall many times in my early kayak fishing days where driving home from Monterey to SJ I had those blinks that lasted a little too long and then scared the heck out of me when I realized I was dozing off.  It would always happen on days that I took Dramamine and the long drive home, particularly when I was fairly close to home and letting my guard down.  Haven't had it happen since I stopped taking seasickness medicine.

But hey, I'm open to trying new alternatives for staying awake  :smt005

I wasn't expected it came out like that.
Now I just go to a parking lot, and take a 15mins nap. Work much better than any powder.  :smt005

I've also found that drinking water helps, like working through a 20 oz bottle or two.

Also ditto on the powernaps. I used to fish for stripers at night in Raritan Bay NJ and would take 20-min naps in parking lots all the time

If I did that, I'd still have to stop to relieve my bladder more than once on the drive home.

Since I have a sleep disorder, I really have to watch how tired I get or I black out sleep which is a bad thing. I do know when I get close to that, I will just pull over and pass out for about a half hour to get back to normal.

Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

I pull off the road and take a nap now.  Back in about 1980, coming back from duck club in Williams on 505.   Woke up as I went over the curb and down the embankment about 100’ from the overpass abutment.   Still scares me.
