Went to the MB by Lover Point and saw many squid boats out there.  Hopefully the “Ghosts” will be around soon.

I saw them yesterday too. I counted over 20 big boats and at least as many smaller boats. I was wondering if some of the smaller ones were trying to catch some ghosts or other fish chasing the squid.

That’s what I was hoping for when scouting for them last weekend.  Will give it another try this weekend.

Lee Soloman, weatherman at KSBW Salinas, was saying last night that the boats were here waiting for the  commercial salmon season opener this weekend, and that it was going to be closed longer up north.  He's a waterman - boater, surfer, angler, so he might know.   Though I like ghost stories better.
