Same place as always...Oct 6th, 2007.  The later date should put us in the guts of fall topwater, but it can get chilly.  Camping available in the group site 10/5 and 10/6

I have decided to change the format to increase the skill factor and because of the low water levels.  The new format:

2 fish heavy limit tourney  :smt007
Artificials only, no bait  :smt103
8 bonus oz for fly only  :smt107
8 bonus oz for C&R  :smt008
Longer hours 0600 to 300 pm

We will have a weigh boat for C&R

Get ready to fish HARD!

Ok......here is a trick that I use for stripers at Hogan when tossing artificals......high density foam soaked in herring oil.

Stripers love the oil smell and it last longer than WD-40!

I'm in and will camp both nights in the group site. Let me know if I can help you with the event in any way. Thanks, Sean!

That's a good question since big catfish can sometimes be caught on artificials.

I hate to speak for Sean but I am pretty sure it is striper only for the 2 fish limit, since 2 fish is the limit for stripers.

Z,

My plan is to move up at the end of Sept/beginning of Oct.  We still haven't found a place so that may change.  If I've just moved to Portland at the beginning of Oct, it's going to take some serious WAF to come right back down to Ukiah to go fishing.
Although... if I have to leave my truck and kayaks down here during the move, I'll have to come back down to get them anyway... I might be able to swing it.  I'll let you know.

Sounds like this years BAM is going to actually involve skill.

Outch! I guess that means Dustin's victory during the first BAM had nothing to do with skill  :smt002

Don't worry Dustin, I still believe in you  :smt008
