Met up with Mahi for one of the most tiring outings in a long time. The wind was howling and sheep were in the field all day. The drifts, even with my new drift sock were stupid fast but we hooked a few.  :smt044 I am beat. :smt118

First we caught a few gophers C+R, then a starfish each. :smt011  I found a spot of big Blacks and caught 2 on a 7" swimbait, the largest was 21.75",biggest I have caught. Meanwhile Mahi was catching lings and I wasn't. I was thinking I burned all my "Ling Mojo". Then I had a good hit and it felt strong and did alot of headshaking, I'm thinking Ling finally. When it comes up to color, it looked odd orangy brown. Then I realized that it was a huge Cabbie. I promply lipped it and my day was made! I needed a cab for AOTY. Well long story short it taped out at 25". :smt003

I sure don't feel like cleaning gear and fish right now! :sleepy1:

Shim,

Great Cabbie....I got a few 24" out of Half Moon Bay...so you raised the bar.  What were you using?  You don't have to reply.  If you don"t want to.  I will understand.

All fish caught on 7" fishtrap swim baits with 3 and 4oz heads. I guess the big bait big fish thing works. I really thought the cabbie was a nice ling.

Wasn't sure if that was a cabbie or Jarjar Binks himself! Nice work. You should be teachin' a clinic w/ the way you're hammerin' 'em up there.
