Amount of hooks legal to halibut fish ?

Please correct me if i am wrong.

Is it not up to two hooks allowed per fishing line when fishing for halibut ? I just watched a video posted today on facebook. The guy had a flasher followed by a wiggle hootchie ( w/ a hook ) followed by a double hook set up for herring.  Three hooks in total. He was fishing in the San Francisco bay.

From my knowlege you are able to use 3 hooks in the bay since halibuts don't have special regulations.

If you are fishing for halibut in San Francisco Bay you are limited to three hooks, assuming no rockfish or salmon on board.

In the ocean there is no limit to the number of hooks you can use for California halibut. It would be perfectly legal to set out a longline with 1000 hooks on it, so long as you kept it connected to your kayak.

I always thought two hooks. Now i can rethink some of my set ups. Two hooks seems enough though.

You can never have enough...just go with the longline!   

Also single rod in the Bay with up to 3 hooks, but multiple rods allowed in the ocean.

Especially since the limit is three. Definitely improve my chances.

Thanks for the reminder. So use to multiple rods here in the monterey bay.

1 rod and 2 hooks for pacific halibut.

No limits on rods or hooks for California halibut unless you are n SF bay or have a species with restrictions on board.
