Not sure if many of you fish this lake but being less than 30 minutes away from me I fish it often.

Found out yesterday the fish have moved up shallow in the wood. I did not plan of flipping today after a slow morning. I moved up the warm springs arm and found some fish in 4-8 foot of water flipping a Shakey head against the trees (10 fish). Got a few more on a jig deeper and my brother got a few on a jerkbait. I caught a trout on a megabass jerkbait after seeing it chase bait a yards out away and got it to commit. Nice surprise.

I see a lot of kayakers here, Berryessa, and Clear Lake fishing but not as many reports on here as I would think.

You all take care and be safe in the water.

Thanks for the report, I used to fish Lake Sonoma from the shore when I interned at the Warm Springs Hatchery a couple years ago and only caught 1 fish on a deep diver (winter fishing stinks). I'm down in southern Marin where the reservoirs are shore fishing only but hoping to get on them in the pre-spawn!

Thanks for the report. I usually post reports from there pretty often. I guess I’ve been slacking off  :smt003

I ventured out about a week ago in the same area with great fishing and poor catching...not a bite. It was great just to be out on the water. The water was very clear. I did see a bald eagle wrestle with some turkey vultures over something really juicy red.

what kayak are you on?? i'm that annoying guy that says hi to everyone!!  i live in Santa Rosa, so it is a short hop, skip and Jump.

i killed them in the trees, but deeper/.  about 20-30 feet.  i did catch my FIRST EVER bass (smallie) on a jig this past SUNDAY. STOKED!!

i'm in a Camo Hobie Compass.

the water is emerald color!!  i launched at the pay ramp prior and it was a joke.  there is no ramp.  this sunday, it was the freebie ramp.  it was cool watching the dog sniff for Quagga Mussels!! pretty awesome.  i wore my GPS watch and hit 8 miles round trip that day.

I am in the Oldtown Topwater 120 PDL. I was with my brother there on Sunday in the warm springs side. I live in Windsor so it’s just a skip for me (no jump needed)!

Nice work with the fish catches especially the jig. I started fishing a jig about 3 years ago. I went 40 years without catching a fish on one. Now, it’s one of my go to confidence baits!
