As I’m looking at the tide, if we’re not off the water by 11, gonna be a mud walk.  Best bite for that window is from 7-10. Realistically to get to a spot, anchor up and drop bait might happen by 8:15, 8:30 if you showed up at 7.  I could imagine showing up at six but not sure about the cold weather.  Not sure 7 will make a difference but it just sounds warmer.  That would leave you soaking for 2 -2.5 hours.  If we’re 30mintes out gotta head back in...hmmm...

I'm good with launching at 6, even with the cold weather, it just maximizes the soak time.

If anyone wants to go on Saturday let me know. Wish I could join on Friday but have to work. It will be my first time sturgeon fishing. Just got an anchor release system set up and the right tackle for it. Excited to try my luck.

I was planning on being out there on Friday as well, probably going to be on the water by 10:30 or so and likely fish the whole day until the tide comes back up around 4:30-5 to avoid the mud. Hope to see some of you out there

I'm thinking about going on Sunday. I can't get away tomorrow and there will a little more time before a mud walk.

My neighbor went out yesterday near the pump house, caught a striper and a small shark. He said there wasn't much action, got there lat in the tide. used shrimp.
