In another post I mentioned some water in my hull. So far Ive determined it was coming in around my Venturi scuppers. Thanks to all that offered advice to find the leak locations. After contacting Brett and  some more research I went for it on my own.
I’m still kinda mid repair and will post after I test my success or failure. Anyway I’m wondering if anyone has used this stuff...I re-installed my covers with it and waiting out its “permanent” 7 day cure time. Im just a little concerned how tough it will be to remove after curing if I ever need to access the Venturi scups again (I sure hope not). I doubt I will as I think I’ve solved my “rare issue” according to Brett. The pics show the exposed scuppers and replaced cover(s)
I used G Flex 650 Epoxy for the repair to fill the apparent gap inside the scupper assemblies. I had to do this to both sides. Ive been taking on several cups water +/-6 which is never good. My biggest issue is the extra weight the water adds changing the performance making the boat sluggish and worse yet when Im at my most tired heading in. Also makes it harder to pull the boat up the sand after coming in. Then it needs to be drained before loading up for home which is no biggy but if not the water makes lifting a real pain in the back and throws the balance off at the worst moment while loading.

I found the adhesive can be very messy to work with so make sure to work carefully and take time to have solvent for cleanup at the ready if you ever use this stuff.
The Epoxy is very user friendly in comparison but again have everything set up before using.

In the USCG, we used 5200 quite often on the foam collars on the newer SAFE boats.  It's fantastic stuff, but it's a bear to get off.  On aluminum surfaces, we'd burn it off with a torch.  On polyurethane surfaces, we'd just have to spend the time scraping and peeling as much as possible using heat to soften it a touch.  Even with that extra effort, it was well worth it to use.

Thanks for the feedback. If you dont mind I might hit you up for some more details if I haven’t solved it and need to glass it sealed as well.
I’ll know for sure in 10 days or so. Only 2 days in on 7 day cure time with crappy ocean conditions anyway...local wind events by me.
Thanks again.

My experience with this product is way different. I tried this 3M 5200 adhesive sealant for sealing a hose in my baitwell. It worked, but I don’t think it worked any better than Goop. The biggest problem with the 5200 is that one week after I used the adhesive, the top third of the tube was completely dried up. I closed the cap tightly, but I guess the one minute I had the cap removed during use was already enough to cause the tube to dry up. Basically, if you can’t use up the tube in one application, you’ll probably lose the remaining. I can’t see myself buying this product again.

Thanks guys- Im glad to here at least some of you have used this stuff.
I get your comment on use it or lose it....Something in the label or info about the stuff made me think the leftover had a poor shelf life. Ive always been a big user of Marine Goop las well. That stuff holds up for years and last just as long in the tube after opening. But with that my use has really always been for above the waterline applications. I know its only the covers but I wanted to use a slightly stronger product. The cure time alone is a hassle compares to Goop and Go. I’ll find out and. can change up if it doesnt cure correctly. As long as my covers hold Im good. It may be unnecessary but I might try and order a full set of spares covers for the years ahead if one ever becomes damaged or breaks free.

I kept my aqua seal in the freezer and it thaws to usable then back in the freezer for storing.  Wonder if it would work for your product...

I concur the freezer method with any leftover. I have some neoprene repair that lasts for years.

Dang. I'm retarded. I tried throwing aqua seal in the freezer to preserve it. Took it out one day to use it and it was rock hard so I threw it out... didn't think about thawing  :smt104

I found out the had way your rack will pull those damn venturis off when loading the yak.  I haven't used 5200, but I will keep it in mind for the next time.
