Haha.  He was in a zen-like awe of the beast he just dominated drawing off of a lifetime of red-bull free experience.  Total badass for sure.

We’ve been there most of the big swell days and was a sight to see(from shore)

Sunday my son made an attempt to go into the mayhem at the breakwater and spent the next 15 minutes trying to get back to the stairs without getting killed, for a while thought I was going to have to jump in with him

Gave Linda Mar a try was biggish but more civilized, then we hiked out to Mavericks and got some footage

At low tide a set came in and flooded the reef inside and almost washed one woman out

Lots of stunned wet people

We had the camera rolling when the water came, fortunately nobody was washed out The woman sitting in the water where I panned right had a close one, washed off the rocks but wasn’t hurt

At the start you can see a guy come off the wave in the distance

Yes

Then after getting his ass kicked in the morning at surfers then at Linda Mar seeing Mavs exploding was too much and he started harassing me to let him get back in the water

definitely a genetic thing

Walking in there it was obvious what was going on there was a recipe for disaster

It was mayhem but I’m a shitty cameraman so missed a lot of what happened when all those people on the reef got their laundry washed in saltwater
