Changes coming to crab regs

Here's what will change:

1.  You need a crab stamp.  Cost is $2.25 per crabber.  You do not need one if you use hoop nets, just traps.  All these changes only affect traps and not hoop nets.
2.  You need to buy a red marker buoy for each trap.
3.  You need to check the trap, clean, and empty it at least every 9 days, sea conditions permitting.
4.  Maximum 10 traps (not a problem for kayakers).
5.  You can check up to 10 traps that belong to someone else if you have written permission including GOID number.
6.  DFG director can delay or close the crab season at any time if there's too many whales or turtles in the water.

I didn't realize we could fish for and take Rock Crabs all year. Not sure I'd bring the gear just to target them though.

It does slightly annoy me that I'd have to buy a standard marker buoy. If I upgrade to traps that is.
