For freshwater during spring/summer i use teva evo water shoes and for the ocean i use the Mares Trilastic 5mm dive boots (nice stiff soles for walking in the sand).

oooh.... those look nice.  I suspect the mickey mouse boots would provide better flotation(for safety/visibility) tho

I've had these for a couple years and been very happy with them.

they are discontinued, but essentially the same as the new Freestyle.

I usually pair them with long waterproof socks for dry launching and landings.

Tried the SealSkinz and they were NOT waterproof - super disappointed:

I wear NRS Boundry Boot
Is high so feet stay dry when launching
Dry feet, warm feet
I see the new one has a lace up vs velcro

Hey poulton, I'm looking at getting the NRS Boundry Boot too. I want my feet to stay dry in hopes that the boot won't smell as much as my surf booties do. Do you wear socks with yours, and sorry for the personal question, but do they get smelly? :)

I wear the shorter NRS bootie.  It’s a great boot.  I need to buy that air blower boot dryer.  They are getting a bit funky.

I have been trying to find a size 10 boundary boot, but they are sold out everywhere.  I’d love a talker boot in the winter.  For sure.

Same here. I ordered a pair of Boundary boots from NRS, and they said it will be in stock mid January.

I recently bought - Promate 5mm Dreadnought Hard Sole Scuba Dive Zipper Boots via Amazon. I really like them. Quite comfortable. Been wearing them while biking into fishing spot at local lakes. No worries when walking the waters edge to land fish.

The key parameters for good footwear are - Easy in and out (side zipper) - High top (calf high) to prevent wear on your $600 drysuit - 5mm to keep you warm especially if you are a foot dangler. - Thick non-slip soles, Too thin soled and you will feel every rock as you walk to your launch - Buy one size larger than your normal size to allow for thicker socks and Drysuit

Thanks.  So you’re paid and everything?  I can do that.  I should do that because I’m ramping up fishing late Jan into Feb.
