I once assisted in removing hooks from Bushy's ass, the stuff of nightmares.  But that's a story for him to tell ...

you know where its written .."no pics , didn't  happen " ....we believe you...no pics ..PLEASE ...

He made us promise not to take any pics.  You can thank him for that, as I'd likely post it here just because you bring it up.  Unfortunately, the image is forever burned in the dark recesses of my mind.

I try to keep it positive. Everytime I get a hook in my hand I think "hey at least it is doing what it is suppose to"  :smt002

Hi guys new poster.  When I was a kid, bass fishing with my cousin was my own personal worst.  In tight to shore in the boat, casting out to a drop.  Lots of overhanging bushes.  My cousin went to cast a rat-l-trap and on his wind-up he hooked both trebles in my scalp.  He figured it was caught in the branches and without looking he yarded on it a couple of times.  "set the hook" basically :)  It didn't hurt all that much, it stung and 3 hook points were in past the barbs.  We ended up just yanking it out and it bled more than any cut I've ever had, but still didn't really hurt that much.  I guess not many nerve endings up there?
Second one was awful.  My son who was 13 at the time and I had just got back from a good day of fishing (bass, again) and were unloading the truck.  One of the big "creature" hooks was stuck in the bed rug of the truck, my boy was reaching for it to get it unstuck but the line was tight and the rod tip was bent.  I said "you probably want to put some slack in the...." but it was too late.  The hook went right through the meaty part of his palm between the thumb and forefinger, and came right out the other side. He panicked for a few seconds but then calmed down when I told him it would be ok and we just needed to cut the hook off.  Getting it out was easy just cut the eye of the hook off and pulled the rest through.  He's a lot more careful around hooks now :)
