Guess I’m gonna beat the dead horse a bit.
I finally ordered a couple of Tiger rods. Now looking into reels. What do you all recommend in the sub $100 range? Decided not to go the old Penn route do to size/weight. New reel need to have maintainability/rebuildable.

At that price, I don't know, but if you might consider spending a little more, I'm a huge fan of the Shimano Tekota. The newer HG version is awesome. Here's a pretty good review of the HG500, which is the size I'd recommend:

I still use a narrowed jigmaster.  It's hands down the easiest reel to service.  Would balance perfectly on an ugly stik tiger.

Sub $100 reels that come to mind are penn squall and daiwa sealine.  I've worked on a squall before and it was pretty easy.

Any experience with the warfare? The jig master is a nine level wind, correct? Looking to stay level wind. Thanks

Funny, my first reel was the Penn Warfare 30 LC.  Nice reel, easy to service.  Still very functional, but the line counter has been non-functional for a long time.  Pretty much inoperable after first dunk and a little neglect.

I upgraded to the new Tekota 400 LC this season.  Love that reel.  I plan on writing something up soon.

I forgot to mention that the older Shimano Tekota is user serviceable, and it's pretty easy thanks to this awesome info by Alan Tani:

I'm hoping the HG is just as easy, but I can't say for sure as I haven't had it apart yet...
