Late post but Snakehead fishing is a gas! Big and toothy like a Ling, topwater bites all year, very clean and firm white flesh, and LOTS of them. This is Blackwater Wildlife Refuge on the Eastern Shore in MD. An hours drive to the Redneck Riviera.

My pops and I used to fish Blackwater all the time. I wish there were snakeheads back then...lol.

Great eating fish! Used to fish for them quite a bit in the DC tidal basin (and yes eat them out of what is basically a giant runoff puddle in the middle of the city).

Unfortunately unlike a ling I alway found it impossible to get a reaction bite at least when you see them coming to the surface. When guarding their young it is different story.
